Uh Ohh, you didn't Go

to the Handplane Hoedown. Maybe you lived too far away. Maybe you got too drunk at the XXL Big Wave awards. Well, whatever reason, I'm sure it was just. The rest of you that did go, well, can I just say, wait for it, wait, IT WAS EPIC! We have had Eddy conditions for two to three weeks. Rarely has the sun came out even deep in my neck of the woods (5 or so miles out), moreless, you whom dwell just by the coast. I rolled out of my sleeping bag at 5:30am, walked down the trail from the campground, and couldn't believe my eyes. Perfect peeling shoulder high + waves, firing into the beach. Thin cloud layer. I ran back up, pulled out the blue pop-up, woke up Quint and headed back down. Swam out for an hour as fellow planers started packing the beach. Got some really fun ones. Sun came out and never went away. Had a tremendous day talking to fellow planers, enjoying the sun, and watching the action out front. I personally have never seen so many planers in the water at one time, and the coolest thing, there was absolutely no attitude, everyone was sharing. Well, I'd like to thank everyone that helped put this thing together, everyone that helped spread the word. Hopefully I will see you all, and maybe some newbies, in Mid to Late September, for another Handplane Hoedown! Here are a few shots that I got, nothing too spectacular, I'm sure the pro photogs will be posting up soon. Will share a few shots per day until I run out. Thanks again all.
