Love. I've neglected her lately. Well, I wouldn't say lately, maybe "Always", would be a better word for it. I usually don't have much time when I shape. I spend all of it trying to get as many boards done as possible during my time slot. Then get out as quick as possible. This means that I rarely clean up. I will occasionally set myself up for the next lot, but, usually, once I hit that last handplane with 150, I blow myself and the handplanes off, and am out the door. Hopefully our 8 year old will be old enough soon to clean up after me for a couple bucks. Today, it's time to give the Hobbit Hut some love. I've got to watch 2 of the 3 kids today, so, I can't really shape. So, I'm gonna spend my time cleaning up my mess. If you look at the ruler in the pictures, it is 10" long. When put in the dust, to the ground, I think some of the highest areas are about 8". So, how many handplanes came out of this mess. I'm not entirely sure. Probably around 150. It's kinda sad when you think about every little piece of Sawdust. It gave it's life so the other part of the wood could become a supercool handplane.
